Emirates A380 will return to Brazil

That's right you read! To our delight, according to what was published on the Aeroin, Folha de São Paulo and Aeromagazine portals, the largest passenger plane in the world, the A380, will return to operation by Emirates to Brazil. The route is the same as the one the plane was taking before interrupting its operations here due to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A darling of many Brazilians, especially those who, like us, are passionate about aviation, the A380 began its operations between the United Arab Emirates and Brazil in 2018. The plane departed from Dubai International Airport, the main base of operations (hub) from the Arab airline, and, after 14 hours of flight, it landed at the International Airport of São Paulo/Guarulhos-Governador André Franco Montoro at 4 pm (Brasilia time).

According to official confirmation from Emirates, the plane will resume its daily operations on the Dubai-São Paulo route as of October 31st. This date will mark the first time since March 2020, the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, that the giant four-engine with capacity to accommodate around 500 people will be on Brazilian soil. It is worth remembering that only the A380 no longer serves Brazil, but Emirates has resumed passenger travel between the two countries with its Boeing's 777-300ER.

“We are delighted to bring our customer favorite A380 aircraft back to Brazil as of October 31st. With the increase in vaccination rates and the relaxation of international travel protocols, more and more Brazilians want to travel again after almost two years. With the A380 flying daily to São Paulo starting in late October, Emirates will be able to take Brazilians to popular travel destinations such as Dubai, Maldives, Cairo and other cities around the world, offering fast and convenient connections through our hub. Emirates is committed to its customers in Brazil and we are proud to be the only airline that operates the iconic Airbus A380 aircraft in the market,” said Stephane Perard, Emirates Country Manager for Brazil, to the Aeroin portal, which specializes in aviation matters.

Dubai, without a shadow of a doubt, is one of the most sought after destinations by the Brazilian clientele. With several attractions for all types of tourists, the city gives free visas to Brazilians who enter it. Good news is that, this year, tourists will have another good reason to visit the city, as it will host the World Expo, a unique event to be held in the region. Premier Partner and official airline of Expo 2020 Dubai, Emirates has launched an exclusive offer for customers who book tickets between October 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022: free entry to one day of Expo 2020!
