Last March 19 (Saturday), a special flight from LATAM Airlines Brazil left São Paulo for a special action called “Missão Marte (Mars Mission)”. This operation was a partnership of the entity Gerando Falcões and the Valquírias World institute with the Brazilian company, and aimed to bring entrepreneurs, journalists and influencers to know the Favela 3D (Dignified, Digital and Developed) Project, to combat poverty.
This action made an allusion to the space trip carried out by Elon Musk, Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos, who are in the dispute for the colonization of the red planet, and drew attention to the following theme: the need, before colonizing other planets, to resolve the socioeconomic problems that we have here on Earth. “I like and admire the three participants in this dispute, but before colonizing another planet, we need to solve the problems that exist here on Earth, where about 800 million people are starving. In Brazil, there are almost 14 thousand favelas and our race is social, it is to fight inequality and allow access to health, safety, education and a series of rights that interrupt the cycle of poverty”, emphasized Edu Lyra, CEO of Generating Falcons.
The plane, an Airbus from the A320 family, departed at 9:50 am from Congonhas airport, in São Paulo, and headed for the city of São José do Rio Preto, in the interior of SP state. On board the aircraft, great names invited by the organizing institutions traveled, such as Otto Baumgardt (corporate director of the Baumgardt Group), Dani Cruz (founder of Vult), Leonardo Framil (CEO of Accenture) and Paula Bellizia (President Global Payments of Ebanx).
