CPTM contracts supervision to extend the Luz-Aeroporto Express service to Palmeiras-Barra Funda.

As those who discuss urban mobility are already aware, the Luz-Aeroporto Express service, on line 13-Jade of CPTM (Paulista Company for Metropolitan Trains/Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos), will be extended after Luz station, to the Palmeiras-Barra Funda station. This will be done in an attempt to increase the number of connections available in the metro-railway system, in addition to increasing the demand for what is the newest service provided by the state-owned company.
According to a report published by the website Via Trólebus, which is specialized in urban mobility and transport, CPTM has already hired, for R$9.5 million, the company that will supervise the works. The company has also already signed the contract, for R$ 158 million, with the companies that must carry out the works.
As for what was published in the Official State Gazette this week, it is about specialized engineering and architecture services, for the supervision of projects. The contract winner is the SPL13 consortium, and its term is 36 months.
